The Assessment Process

Obtaining your first Ship-It Rating in 7 steps

Enter user details and that of your colleagues that need access. Your account will be verified automatically for two-factor authentication.

Essentially you can chose: the free (at the time of writing) Auto/Putative assessment, an Assisted assessment resulting in a Certified Rating or a more in-depth Examined assessment. See here for more information on the levels of assessment.

The basic Business Plan data may vary, but essentially it is data on the time scales and spend on your product development programs on which your revenue forecasts depend. There is detailed guidance available.

Usually the most senior people in the firm with product development responsibilities who can make judgements about current and future state.

Your Assessment questions and answers are all online under your secure account. When they are all complete the form is submitted and there will be some further checks.

For Auto Assessment, as soon as the Rating has been manually checked and released (usually within 24 hours) it is complete. The Putative Rating is awarded and registered. You can immediately use it.

For Assisted Assessment, book up your Verification Meeting online. There is usually only one meeting to check and adjust any responses. Again, following final checks, the Rating is issued up to 24 hours after that. This will be a Certified rating.

Add the icon for the awarded rating to your Pitch Deck, web site or other materials. Your Ship-It Rating will also be be searchable online and will show up in the internal systems of any subscribed investors you have permitted to see it.
