About SIRA

Who we are

The Ship-It Rating Agency (SIRA) was initiated by Arroware Ltd in 2024 and is in the process of seeking other founding partners. It is wholly independent from institutions and governmental or regulatory organisations. Its objectives and remit are governed by its own clear set of standards (the Commitments summarised below) that all members must adhere to.

Our Commitments

As a membership organization, SIRA requires adherence to a focussed objective and a strong set of principles

Our objective is to surface truth and accuracy in product development in innovative firms. SIRA’s 5 essential commitments follow from the key principles laid down for credit rating activity by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).

Quality and Integrity

Means always working to the objective of truth and accuracy in the pursuit of reducing the asymmetry of information among funding seekers, funders and other innovation market participants.

Transparency

Means that, in all ratings activities, we keep the goal of openness, transparency and disclosure without compromising confidentiality.

Confidentiality

Means that all customers and users of our services are given the right to full client confidentiality and we pay particular attention to the confidentiality and security of the sensitive information on rated entities.
See Protection of the Rated Entity

Independence

Means rating decisions will follow consistent and equitably applied processes and will always be independent and free from undue pressures and conflicts of interest arising due to business or financial activities.

Principled

Means that, in addition to the above, we keep the need to be apolitical, independent and non-judgemental within ethical boundaries. While all legal technologies and organisations are entitled to be included, we reserve the right to decline engagements with entities we deem ethically unsustainable.
