Announcing the Assessment Platform’s Development Roadmap

Since our initial introduction, we have been working quietly behind the scenes to balance and transform our assessment modelling methodology into a robust, enterprise-grade service.

Three core objectives have guided this focus and shaped our newly completed 2026 roadmap:

  • Gathering and Balancing Feedback: We analysed early surveys and real-world use cases to understand exactly what the innovation community needs—from both the founders’ and the investors’ perspectives.
  • Formalising the Rating Model: We spent time formalising our mathematical approach, replacing assumptions with proofs, and gathering the seeding data needed for robust statistical input.
  • Deliberate Pacing: We made a conscious decision not to rush this process. Instead, we used this time to focus on what matters most, building a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

The result is a design firmly rooted in our core rating methodology and built from the ground up to integrate seamlessly with investors’ AI-oriented APIs. While the platform will feature intuitive, human-friendly tools for investors, we also listened closely to funders who expect easy-to-integrate AI tools. To meet this need, we are introducing scalable and extensible search services powered by an evolving Model Context Protocol (MCP) service.

Crucially, the assessment side that founders interact with is categorically not AI-driven. It follows the exact same deterministic, reliable approach that started the Ship-It Rating journey. Assessments will continue to use the same robust, globally applicable Research, Development & Engineering (RD&E) modelling concepts and rules of thumb that investors trust. The only evolution here is the increased mathematical formalisation of the model itself.

We are incredibly proud of the progress we have made behind the scenes, and we cannot wait to share the results with you in our beta launch coming in Q4 2026. For more information, please visit https://shipitrating.agency/.
